Our Story

I began my McDonalds journey over 33 years ago in Phoenix, Arizona. As a teenager looking for my first job in 1987, I started working as a crew member making $2.35 an hour. Within 6 months I was promoted to a Shift Manager, then to Assistant Manager. Shortly after being promoted to Assistant Manager, I moved back to Colorado and continued to work my way up the McLadder. At the age of 21, I was promoted to a General Manager. After being a GM for 4 years, I was promoted to Supervisor, Director of Operations, and then Vice President of a 12-restaurant organization. In 2006, I officially became a McDonald’s Owner / Operator buying my first restaurant. After spending some time operating stores back in Arizona and California, I am now proudly operating 29 stores in Southern Denver, Northern Colorado, Nebraska, and Wyoming.

Ray Kroc, founder of McDonalds, used to say “We are not a hamburger business serving people, but we are a people business serving hamburgers.” Over the years, I have learned that my people are my greatest asset and to be successful, I have to take care of them. My primary focus has been to hire the best people, then provide them the best training and resources to deliver the best customer experience. With over 1,000+ employees, it’s still important to me that each one becomes and feels like a part of our McFamily. Our employees are valued through their hard work, their individualism, and their impact on customers’ lives.

Being involved in our communities is an important piece of our operations to my McFamily and my family. My wife, Denise, and I have three amazing children, Brianna, Makenzi, and Kaden. Whether we are volunteering with the Ronald House, hosting McTeacher Nights, or supporting a local community event, our McFamily is always proud to be able to serve you and our local communities.

Thank you for choosing your locally owned and operated McDonalds!

McTeacher’s Nights

McDonalds’ loves their schools! Let us help you raise extra funds for your school. McTeachers Nights allow us to support the local community around our restaurants.

How Does it Work? Families and Students are able to come to the fundraiser to see their teachers, principals, and administrators working behind the counter. Not only is it a way for us to donate extra money, schools get 20% of sales generated during the event. For more information contact us!

Ronald McDonald House Charities

Since 1979, Ronald McDonald House® Charities of Denver has offered a loving home away from home to families needing to be near their seriously ill or injured children while they’re being treated at metropolitan area hospitals. At Johnson Entities we are proud to be a part of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver, over the past few years. My family and employees have enjoyed providing lunches and connecting with the families staying at the house.
